Aluminum square tube made from alloy 6063 is a versatile structural component used across construction, transportation, electrical and general industrial work. Grade 6063 is valued for its balance of moderate strength, excellent extrudability and a smooth, bright surface that takes anodising, powder coating and painting well. The seamless straight pipe tubing form gives a continuous wall with no welded seam along the length, helping to keep appearance and behaviour consistent around the full perimeter of the section.
Each length begins as a heated aluminium billet pressed through a square-profile die. Because the metal flows through in one piece, the finished tube is seamless rather than welded from strip, so there is no seam line to interrupt the surface or concentrate stress. After extrusion the profile is cooled, straightened and cut to length.
6063 square tube is light compared with steel, non-magnetic and easy to work with ordinary metalworking tools. It resists atmospheric corrosion and forms a protective oxide layer in air, which makes it a practical choice for both outdoor and indoor projects. The material machines cleanly, welds readily and accepts fasteners, brackets and connectors without difficulty.
Typical uses include frames and stands, display and shelving, machine guards and covers, handrails and balustrades, window and door sections, electrical enclosures, furniture and shop-fitting, and many other assemblies where a tidy square edge is preferred. The square profile also simplifies joints, since flat faces meet squarely and can be bolted or welded without special preparation.
Because every project differs, tube outside size, wall thickness, length, temper and surface finish can all be discussed against a customer drawing or sample. Cut-to-length programmes, mitre cutting, hole punching and finishing can be arranged to suit the final assembly.
Before dispatch, material is checked for straightness, surface condition and dimensional consistency, and lengths are counted and protected so that they arrive ready for use. Where a particular alloy, temper or finish is required, the specification is agreed in advance.
