What This Adjustable Tent Pole Is

This adjustable tent pole is a telescopic aluminium support mast drawn from 6061 aluminium alloy and finished with an anodised surface. The pole is 230 cm long and is offered with outer diameters of 21 mm, 25 mm or 30 mm, so one product family can cover small flysheets as well as larger camp canopies. The anodised layer is a hard, uniform oxide film that resists scratching, corrosion and long exposure to weather, while the low density of aluminium keeps the finished pole at around 500 g. A rubber grip is fitted at the contact end to limit slipping on hard ground and to protect coated fabrics.

The shaft uses 6061 aluminium alloy, a magnesium-silicon grade with a minimum aluminium content of roughly 90% that is chosen for structural tubes because it balances moderate strength with good formability and weldability.
