7075 Aluminum Tube with Black Powder Coated Finish and Female Threaded Ends for Tent Frames and Poles

This 7075 aluminium tube is supplied as a round tube with a black powder coated surface and a machined female thread at the end. It is made for buyers who need a light metal tube that can be screwed together section by section instead of welded at every joint.

The tube is formed from alloy 7075, a zinc bearing aluminium grade that is chosen when a stronger aluminium tube is required. Aluminium tube in this grade keeps the low weight of aluminium while offering more strength than common 6063 or 6061 tube of the same section, which makes it suitable for parts that carry bending and compression loads.

Tube geometry: the product is a round aluminium tube. Diameter, wall thickness and cut length are agreed for each order.

Black powder coating: the outer surface receives a powder coating in black. Powder coating is applied as a dry powder and cured to form a continuous film, giving the tube a uniform dark appearance and covering the surface so that the metal underneath is not left bare.

Female threaded end: one end of the tube is machined with an internal thread. Because the thread is cut inside the tube, a matching male threaded insert, stud or tube end can be screwed into it. Sections can therefore be joined end to end without an external coupling.

Thread fit is checked during production so that the female thread accepts the matching male part smoothly. Thread size, pitch and depth are settled with the buyer before production.

Typical applications: tent frames and support poles are the main use. The threaded connection lets a frame be broken down into short sections for transport and then screwed together again on site.

Other applications include display frames, banner and flag support poles, awning and shelter frames, stand and rack members, and lightweight structural assemblies where a small diameter metal tube is needed.

Assembly benefits: because the joint is threaded rather than welded, sections can be assembled and taken apart repeatedly with simple hand tools.

Surface care: the powder coated finish can be cleaned with a soft cloth and mild detergent. Abrasive pads and strong solvents are best avoided because they can dull or scratch the coating.

Order configuration: before production the buyer confirms the alloy, tube diameter and wall thickness, cut length, thread size and the black coating requirement. Finished tubes are then checked for coating appearance and thread condition.
