This product is a 7075 aluminium tube with a black finish and threaded ends. The threaded connections allow individual lengths to be screwed together or into matching fittings, so the tube can be used to build modular frames and support assemblies without extra couplers.
7075 is a zinc-bearing aluminium alloy that belongs to the high-strength group of aluminium materials. Compared with general-purpose extrusion alloys it offers higher mechanical strength, which is why it is chosen for parts that have to carry load while staying light, such as stressed machine components, sports equipment and structural fittings.
Each length is supplied with threaded ends so that sections can be joined directly. A threaded joint gives a positive mechanical connection that resists being pulled apart, and it lets a frame be extended, shortened or repaired on site by unscrewing one section and fitting another. Matching threads on adjacent lengths keep the assembly aligned along a common axis.
The tube carries a black finish that gives it a uniform dark appearance. A dark surface is often wanted on equipment where low glare matters or where the tube has to blend with other black components in the same assembly, and it looks more consistent than raw mill aluminium.
Sections can be cut to length and the ends re-threaded or fitted with adapters as required. Aluminium machines quickly, so holes, slots and flats can be added for brackets and fasteners without special tooling. When assembling, keep the threads clean and aligned and tighten each joint only as far as the fitting is designed for, so that the threads are not damaged.
Tube of this type is used for modular frames, display and exhibition structures, light gantries, equipment supports and other assemblies built from repeating tube sections. It also suits replacement work where a damaged length has to be swapped out quickly during a shutdown.
On receipt, check every length for straightness, thread condition and finish. Screw a matching fitting onto a sample of the threads to confirm they run freely, and look for damage to the black finish near the ends, since poor threads or chipped finishes are the usual cause of assembly problems.
When ordering, confirm the outside diameter, wall thickness, cut length, thread size and thread type at each end, the finish required, and whether the tube is for a new assembly or as a replacement section in an existing frame.
