How the Spring Button Lock Works

When the inner tube slides into the outer tube, the button snaps into the matching hole and holds the two sections together. The lock is operated entirely by hand: press the button to release it, adjust the length or separate the sections, then let the spring re-seat the button. No bolts, wrenches or loose fasteners are needed, and there are no small parts to lose in the field.
