This aluminum extendable tube is built as a telescopic tent rod and tarp pole for camping. Several drawn aluminium sections slide inside each other so the pole can be pulled out and locked at the height the shelter needs, then collapsed for transport. The wall thickness is chosen to keep the pole light in the hand while still holding a tent, tarp or awning in wind. Each section is drawn, cut and finished, then assembled so the pole extends smoothly and stays rigid at full length.
Structure and material

- Two, three or four sections per pole, sliding one into the next
- Twist lock, spring pin or lever clamp for height setting
- Anodized or powder coated finish for outdoor use
- Protective end caps and rubber or plastic feet
- Optional shock cord to keep the sections together
- Diameters sized to fit common tent eyelets and pole sleeves
Customization options
Overall length, number of sections, outer diameter, wall thickness, finish colour and lock type can all be customized. The closed length is set by the section count, so a pole that packs short can still reach a tall ridge. Threaded tips, hooks, pegs and adaptors for lamps or flags are fitted on request, and the customer logo can be printed or laser marked on the tube.
Applications
The telescopic tube is used for camping tent poles, tarp and awning supports, gazebo legs, fishing rod holders, cleaning and painting extension handles, camera supports, flag poles and display stands. Because the sections are drawn from aluminium, the pole does not rust in damp conditions and stays manageable when wet, which is why it is common in outdoor gear. Poles are packed in bundles with a protective sleeve so the anodized surface arrives free of scratches.
Production capability
Tube drawing, cutting, drilling, tapping, anodizing and assembly are completed in house. Diameter and wall thickness are held to the drawing so sections slide smoothly and lock without play. Samples can be supplied for field testing before a production run is scheduled.
