This is an aluminum telescopic pole built from round aluminium tube sections that slide inside one another. The inner section holds a spring button, and the outer section is drilled with a row of holes along its length. Pull the pole out and the button springs through the nearest hole, so the pole locks at that length without a clamp, a wing screw or a tool. Press the button back in and the pole slides freely again, which is what lets a single pole serve a range of working lengths and still pack down short.
Telescopic pole tube is made in aluminium alloy round section, in the alloy series and wall agreed for the order. The surface is finished to suit the way the pole will be used, from a mill finish that will be processed further to a decorative finish where the pole stays on show. Colour, gloss and any printed mark are agreed before production, so the tube matches the frame, handle or stand it belongs to.
Two figures drive the length design of a spring button telescopic pole: the length it must reach when fully extended, and the length it must shrink to when packed. Between those two figures, the number of tube sections and the spacing of the button holes decide how finely the length can be adjusted. A pole that only has to sit at one height can use a short two section tube, while a pole that has to fine-tune its height needs the holes closer together or one more section. The tube diameter and wall are then picked to carry the load the pole has to hold.
How does the button hold the pole at a length? The spring button sits in the inner tube and the outer tube is drilled with a line of holes. When the button reaches a hole it springs out through it, and the two sections cannot slide past each other until the button is pressed in again.
Can the pole lock at more than one length? Yes. The number and spacing of the button holes decide how many locked positions the pole has, so the adjustment step is agreed with the buyer.
How are the tube diameters arranged? The smaller tube travels inside the larger one, and the two diameters, the wall thickness and the clearance are set so the sections slide smoothly but do not wobble once locked.
Do you make the telescopic pole to our own drawing? Yes. Length, number of sections, hole positions, tube diameter and wall, alloy and finish all follow the buyer's drawing or sample.
What decides the price of a telescopic pole? The alloy, the tube diameter and wall, the number of sections, the length and the surface finish all change the tube that is needed, so the pole is quoted against your drawing or sample rather than from a stock size.
Send the extended length, the shortest packed length, the tube diameter and wall you have in mind, the alloy or the job the pole has to do, the colour or finish you want, and the quantity. A drawing, a photo of the telescopic pole you use now or a physical sample is enough for us to come back with the tube and the production plan for your order.
