6063 Anodized Aluminum Tube for LED Light Housing Overview
This round aluminum tube is extruded in 6063 alloy and anodised, and is used as the body of LED light housings, linear lighting fixtures and smaller luminaires. 6063 is chosen for this work because it extrudes to a clean surface, holds a tight wall tolerance, and takes an anodic finish that stays uniform along the length of the tube.
The tube acts as both the housing and the heat path. Because aluminum conducts heat away from the LED board, the tube wall spreads the heat generated by the diodes, which helps the fixture run at a stable temperature instead of building up a hot spot behind the board. A thicker wall or a larger diameter gives more surface area for the same reason.
Wall, Bore and Finish
Wall thickness is kept even around the circumference so that a driver, PCB strip or end cap fits predictably at any point along the tube. The inside bore is left smooth for sliding in a board carrier or a wiring sleeve, and the outside is anodised in clear, black or another colour as required.

Typical Lighting Uses
The tube is used for tubular LED fixtures, sensor and indicator housings, picture and display lighting bodies, wall washer tubes, and the light bars of exhibition and shop fitting systems. End caps, diffusers and mounting brackets can be matched to the tube so that the finished fixture is assembled from a small number of parts.
Where the fixture has to pass a lighting or safety standard for a particular market, the buyer normally confirms the required wall thickness, fixing points and surface finish against the drawing before the extrusion is run.

Please state the outside diameter, wall thickness, length, anodising colour and the quantity, together with any machining shown on the drawing. Extruded samples and anodised colour samples can be provided for approval before production.
