A bending aluminum profile is an extruded aluminium alloy section that is bent, arched or curved after extrusion, so it follows the outline of a finished frame instead of staying a straight length. Because the section is shaped to the drawing rather than joined from straight pieces, the frame keeps a continuous surface across corners and curves and needs fewer sealed joints.
Wardrobe and closet systems use bent aluminium profiles for door frames, corner trims and curved sliding panels. A profile bent to the radius of the opening keeps the door edge consistent and lets the panel follow a rounded cabinet front.
Arched, round and irregular window openings are framed with bent aluminium profiles. Bending lets one section run continuously around a curved head or a bay corner, keeping the glazing line even.
Door frames and door frame profiles use bent sections for arched openings, curved partition doors and decorative entrance surrounds, as well as for glass door edge frames and the vertical members of radius doors.
Send the section drawing, the frame outline and a sample if you have one. A supplier that runs both extrusion and bending can confirm whether the section can be formed to your radius, advise where to place the bend so the surface stays clean, and quote on the finished bent profile rather than on straight stock.
