What This Product Is
This is a welded seamless aluminum tent pole made from alloy tube in the 6000 and 7000 series, including 6063, 7001 and 7075 material. It is supplied as a round or oval section and can also be produced to a customized profile shape. Aluminium content is at least 96%, wall thickness runs from 0.75 mm to 1.5 mm, and hardness is above 140. The tube is extruded and then welded seamlessly, so the joint line does not interrupt the outer surface.
How It Is Made
The pole starts as an extruded aluminum tube and passes through seamless welding before final processing. Bending, decoiling, welding, punching and cutting are all available, so a finished pole can be delivered already formed to the shape the shelter frame needs. Surface treatment may be anodized, powder coated, sand blasted, polished or brushed, and the standard colour range covers silver, bronze, champagne, grey and golden, with further colours matched on request. Tempers from T3 to T8 are available.

How to Choose the Right Specification
Start with the diameter and section shape, since the pole must fit the sleeve or ferrule it slides into; round and oval sections are standard, and customized profiles can be extruded. Next decide wall thickness within the 0.75-1.5 mm range, which sets both weight and stiffness. Then choose the alloy and temper: 6063 gives good formability, while 7001 and 7075 are chosen where higher strength is needed, in tempers from T3 to T8. Finally pick the finish and colour and confirm the cutting and bending dimensions, because size is made to the customer's request. Dimensional tolerance is held to around plus or minus 10%.
