Anodized and Powder Coated 6063-T5 Aluminum Window and Door Profiles for Sliding Windows
Aluminium window and door profiles are the extruded frame sections that hold glass and mesh in place and let a window or door slide, open or close. This product covers aluminium alloy window and door profiles made from 6063-T5, a 6000 series alloy that does not warp or rust and can be used both outdoors and indoors. Aluminium also has low thermal conductivity, so the finished frames stay stable through weather changes.
The profiles are supplied as square section in silver or black, with length and wall thickness made to a custom size and a general tolerance of about 1 percent. They form the visible frame of the opening, so the profile shape, sight line and colour are chosen together with the glass and hardware rather than on their own.

Surface Treatment and Service Life

Wood grain finish is used where a timber look is wanted for doors, windows and partitions. Anodizing forms an oxide layer that is part of the metal rather than a coating that can peel, and is stated to last about 10 to 20 years depending on thickness.
Fabrication and Deep Processing
Each profile is produced through die design and die making, smelting and alloying, extrusion, cutting, heat treatment and surface treatment, with quality checks along the way. Profiles can be cut to a custom length and then machined by precision cutting, CNC, punching, tapping, drilling and milling, so screw ports and assembly holes are ready before delivery. New moulds for a custom section are normally opened in about 7 to 10 days.

Confirm the surface treatment and colour, choosing between powder coating, anodizing, wood grain and electrophoresis. Confirm which machining operations are required, such as precision cutting, CNC, punching, tapping and drilling, and whether glass or hardware will be fitted. Confirm the quantity and packing required, and state the destination port so shipping can be arranged.

Powder Coating

Anodizing
Anodizing cannot peel off. The coating is part of the metal. Anodizing gives aluminum a deeper, richer metallic appearance than is possible with organic coatings. This is because an anodized coating is translucent, and one can see the base metal underneath the coating. Anodizing provides a thin aluminum oxide layer, which will deteriorate over time. Depending on the thickness and quality of the anodization, the surface should last 10-20 years.
