Anodized 30 Series T-Slot Aluminum Extrusion Profile 6063-T5 for Industrial Frames
A 30 series T-slot aluminium extrusion is a square profile with a slot on each face, used to build modular frames that are bolted together instead of welded. The 30 in the name refers to the nominal 30 mm face width, and this range covers 30x30, 30x30-2NVS, 30x30RQ, 30x30W, 30x60, 30x90, 30x120 and 30x150 sections, so one slot size can carry everything from a light guard to a heavier machine base.
The profiles are extruded from 6063-T5 and 6061-T6 aluminium alloy, part of the 6000 series, and are supplied with a tolerance of about 1 percent. Temper is available from T3 to T8 depending on the section, and the metal is supplied as alloy rather than pure aluminium, which gives the stiffness and machinability that bolted frames need.
Surface Finish and Outdoor Life
The standard finish is anodized, giving the black surface a hard, corrosion-resistant skin that suits industrial environments. Other finishes are offered, including powder coating, electrophoresis, wood grain, polishing, brushing and sandblasting. For outdoor use the supplier states an anodized life of about 12 to 15 years and a powder coated life of about 18 to 20 years, and colour and finish can be matched to the wider frame design.
Fabrication and Deep Processing
Extrusion starts with die design and die making, followed by smelting and alloying, extrusion, cutting, heat treatment and surface treatment, with quality checks at several stages. Finished profiles can be cut to a custom length and then machined further by precision cutting, CNC work, punching, tapping, drilling and milling, so slots, holes and tapped ends can be prepared before delivery. New moulds for a custom section are normally opened in about 7 to 10 days.
Where 30 Series Profiles Are Used
These profiles are widely used for industrial framing and decorative structures: machine guards and safety enclosures, work benches and assembly tables, conveyor and automation frames, display stands and shelving, and architectural or furniture trim where a clean black anodized line is wanted. Because the slot accepts standard T-nuts and brackets, frames can be assembled, adjusted and extended on site without welding.

Confirm the alloy and temper, the surface finish and colour, and the tolerance you can accept.
