What Is This Anodized Aluminum Tube and Square Pipe?
This product covers anodized aluminium pipe supplied in two section types: round tube and square pipe. The three alloys named in the specification - 7075, 5083 and 6082 - let one order cover a high-strength part, a weldable part and a general structural part from the same source. Anodizing is applied to the finished section, so the pipe arrives with its surface already treated instead of being finished in-house.
Section Types and Alloy Choice
Round Tube
Round tube is used where the part carries load along its axis or where a smooth outer surface matters, such as frame members, spacers and handle sections.
Square Pipe
Square pipe gives flat faces that are easy to drill, bolt and weld, which suits frames, brackets, base rails and machine guards where parts are joined at right angles.
Alloys 7075, 5083 and 6082
7075 is selected for high-strength applications, 5083 for weldable parts that see moisture, and 6082 for general structural work that has to be machined or welded.

These anodized sections are used in frame building, machinery guards, display structures, automotive and bike components, marine fittings and general fabrication. The anodized finish keeps the surface even along the length of the pipe, which matters for parts that stay visible once assembled.
How to Choose the Right Section
- Section shape. Choose round tube for axial load and smooth surfaces, square pipe where flat faces are needed for joints.
- Alloy grade. Match 7075, 5083 or 6082 to the strength, welding or machining your part needs.
- Wall thickness. Set the wall from the load it carries and the threads or fasteners that go into it.
- Finished length. Agree the cut length so the pipe arrives ready to assemble.
- Anodized finish. Confirm the finish colour and that it covers the faces that stay on show.
