What This Product Is

This is an anodized aluminium pipe supplied as a threaded connected aluminium tube. It is made from alloy aluminium with an aluminium content of at least 98.8%, and is available in round, oval and square sections. Wall thickness covers a wide band from 0.3 mm to 50 mm, so the same product line serves both small decorative tubing and heavier structural pipe. Hardness is quoted between 160 and 205 Rm/Mpa, and tempers from T3 to T8 are available.

How It Is Made and Finished

The pipe is produced by extrusion, drawing or rolling. Processing services include bending, decoiling, welding, punching and cutting, and the ends can be threaded so that sections connect to each other without separate fittings. Surface treatment options include mill finish, anodizing, polishing and powder coating. Anodizing gives the black and coloured finishes, and the standard surface colour range covers silver, bronze, champagne, black and golden, with custom colours matched on request.

First fix the section shape and size, because round, oval and square sections are all available and the pipe must match the connector or bracket it fits. Second, choose the wall thickness from the 0.3-50 mm range: thin walls suit light decorative and frame work, while thicker walls carry structural loads. Third, select the alloy series from 1000, 2000, 3000, 6000 and 7000 series, and match the temper between T3 and T8 to the strength and forming needs of the part. Fourth, choose the surface treatment and colour, and confirm whether the ends need to be threaded. Because length is customized, the cut length has to be fixed before production, and dimensional tolerance is held to around plus or minus 10%.
