Anodized 6063 Aluminum Square Tube for Door and Window Frames
This anodized aluminum square tube is extruded from 6063 alloy and finished with a silver anodized surface. It is built for frames that need a straight section with square corners instead of a round profile, and it is supplied cut to size, with bending, decoiling, welding, punching and cutting offered as processing steps.
Where it is used
A single aluminum square tube usually lands in door and window frames, where it acts as a mullion, a sash bar or a frame rail. The same section also appears in furniture legs, display stands, handrails, machine guards and light structural frames where a square face is easier to join than a round one and where a visible anodized finish matters.
How to choose
Profile size and wall: measure the opening you are framing first, then pick the aluminum square tube whose outer dimension and wall thickness carry the span without flexing. Wall thickness drives stiffness far more than the outer dimension does.
Tolerance: this aluminum square tube is held to ±1%, which suits frame joints that have to close cleanly. If your assembly needs a tighter fit, say so before the profile is cut.
Temper: T3 to T8 is available, with T5 the usual choice for architectural sections. A higher temper raises yield strength and lowers how far the section will bend before it cracks.
Length: each aluminum square tube is cut to your size, so give the finished length rather than a stock length, and state whether the ends need to be square cut or mitred.
Surface: anodized silver is the standard finish for this aluminum square tube. Anodizing hardens the surface and keeps the color stable, but it has to happen before any welding, because welding burns the anodized layer away.
