Each pole is a straight or formed tube rather than a finished tent assembly, so it can be cut to length, bent, punched, welded or decoiled to suit a shelter design. Round tube is standard, temper runs from T3 to T8, and wall thickness is commonly 0.7 mm to 1.2 mm, so diameter, wall, length, colour and finish can all be specified.

These tubes are made for outdoor shelter frames and accessory structures: tent poles and frames for camping and backpacking tents, tarp poles and support poles for tarps, rain flys and awning shelters, canopy and gazebo frames for events and gardens, and bent or curved frame sections for motorcycle and camping shelters. How to Choose the Right Pole

Selection starts with the loads the finished shelter will carry. Larger diameter and thicker wall increase stiffness, while thinner tube saves weight but flexes more. Reference sizes for this line run from about 6.9 mm to 22 mm outside diameter with walls of roughly 0.7 mm to 1.2 mm, so a light backpacking pole and a heavy-duty canopy pole can come from the same alloy family. Length is normally customized up to about 6 m.

Next, decide grade and temper. 6000 series grades such as 6061 and 6063 suit formed frames that need bending and welding, with good corrosion resistance and hardness around HB90-110. Higher-strength 7000 series grades are chosen where stiffness matters more, with hardness above 140 and tensile strength above 505 MPa. If the pole must be curved or jointed, state it at enquiry.

What to Confirm Before Ordering

Confirm the grade, temper, outside diameter, wall thickness, length and tolerance you need, since a general tolerance of about 1 percent is typical. Confirm the surface treatment and colour, as anodizing can be supplied in red, yellow, blue, green, black, golden, grey and other shades. Confirm which forming steps are required, including bending, welding, punching, cutting and decoiling. Confirm the quantity you intend to buy, because custom logos or packaging are usually tied to a minimum order quantity, and confirm the delivery expectation and destination port.
