Billet is extruded and then cold drawn to the final wall, which holds the tolerance tighter than extrusion alone and leaves a smooth bore. The aluminum tube is then cut, punched, bent, decoiled or welded to your drawing, and the aluminum tube can be delivered in lengths set by the customer, up to 12 m where transport allows.

Start with the grade, because the lower series bend easily while the 6000 and 7000 series give more strength where the part carries load. Then fix the outside diameter and the wall together, since a thin wall in a large diameter deforms sooner than a small section.
