Custom Extruded Aluminium Alloy Tube for Tent Poles and Railings
This product is a custom aluminium alloy tube produced by hot extrusion, then bent and welded to the required shape and finished with an anodized surface. It is made from 6000 series and 7000 series aluminium alloys and is designed for tube frames such as tent poles and pipe railings.
Material and Structure
The tube is formed from extruded aluminium alloy in the 6000 and 7000 series, including grades such as 6061, 6063, 7005 and 7075. Extrusion produces a hollow section with uniform wall thickness along the length of the tube. It can be supplied as a seamless or ordinary extruded section, and precision tubes are further processed after extrusion by cold drawing, fine drawing or rolling.
- Outer diameter: 3 mm to 250 mm, with small, medium and large diameter options
- Wall thickness: 0.3 mm to 50 mm, including thin walled tube
- Length: 10 mm to 6000 mm

- Mechanical strength: low strength under 200 MPa up to medium strength around 200 to 460 MPa, depending on alloy and temper
Bending, Welding and Anodized Finish
Bending and welding are carried out to the supplied drawing, so the tube can be delivered as a ready to assemble frame part instead of a straight length. The anodized finish builds an oxide layer on the aluminium surface, which helps the part resist scratching and corrosion and allows coloured finishes such as nature, silver, bronze, champagne, black and gold. Other surface treatments available on this tube include mill finish, powder coating and sand blasting.
Typical Applications
Because the tube combines low weight with good stiffness, it is used in tube frames and tubular structures. Typical uses include tent poles, water pipe systems, pipe railings, shaped pipelines, radiators and other aluminium tube assemblies. Aluminium tube in this form is also widely used in automobiles, ships, electrical appliances, agriculture, electromechanical equipment and household appliances.
Quality and Production Control
The tube is produced on extrusion press lines and inspected against China national standard GB/T as well as ASTM, ASME, EN, JIS and DIN standards. Alloy, temper, dimensions and surface are checked before dispatch so that bent and welded parts match the agreed specification.
