High Precision 6063 and 7075 Aluminum Tube with Bending and Welding

This aluminum tube is produced to a high precision tolerance from extruded aluminium alloy, then bent and welded into the shape required by the customer drawing. It is supplied in custom lengths and is intended for aluminium framing such as windows, doors, decoration, construction and curtain wall.

Alloy Grades and Dimensions

The tube is available in 1000, 2000, 3000, 5000, 6000 and 7000 series aluminium, with 6063 and 7075 as the grades most often requested for this item. Extrusion gives the tube a hollow section with uniform wall thickness and cross section, and it can be delivered straight or in a roll. Precision aluminium tube of this type is reprocessed after extrusion by cold drawing, fine drawing or rolling to tighten the dimensions.

Bending and Welding Processing

Beyond a straight extrusion, this tube can be bent and welded as a secondary operation. Bent sections and welded assemblies let the tube be used directly as a frame component and reduce the amount of cutting and fitting needed at the assembly stage. Bending angles, bending radii and weld positions are made to the drawing supplied with the enquiry.

Surface Treatment and Corrosion Protection

The tube can be supplied with a mill finish, or treated by anodizing, powder coating or sand blasting to suit the application. Anodizing and powder coating both help the aluminium resist scratching and corrosion, and colour options include nature, silver, bronze, champagne, black and golden, as well as custom colours. The smooth, uniform surface of an extruded tube also makes it easier to obtain an even finish along the whole length.
