What This Product Is

This is a custom round telescopic aluminum pole made from Alloy 6061 tube in the 6000 series. It works as a telescoping tent pole and as an adjustable tarp pole: because one tube slides inside the next, a single pole set can be extended to different working heights instead of carrying several fixed-length poles. The tube is round and carries an aluminium content of at least 96%. Wall thickness is held between 0.8 mm and 1.2 mm, and the material is supplied in tempers from T3 through T8.

How It Is Made

The tube is formed by extrusion, cold drawing or hot rolling, then processed with bending, decoiling, welding, punching and cutting as the drawing requires. Surface treatment can be anodized, powder coated, sand blasted or polished, which is where the anti-scratch and anti-corrosion behaviour comes from. Standard finishes are available in nature, silver, bronze, champagne, red, grey, golden and black, and further colours can be matched on request.

The pole is built for outdoor shelter work: camping tent poles, tarp poles, sunshade and awning support, and general industrial framing where a light round alloy tube is needed. How to Choose the Right Specification

Four points decide most orders. First, wall thickness: 0.8-1.2 mm covers light shelter use, and a heavier wall is chosen where more stiffness is needed. Second, temper: T3 to T8 changes strength and formability, so the working load of the shelter should be matched to it. Third, length: sections are made to a customized length, so the collapsed length and the extended length both need to be fixed before production. Fourth, finish: anodizing gives a hard, corrosion-resistant surface while powder coating gives broader colour choice. Dimensional tolerance is held to around plus or minus 10%.
