This customized aluminium extrusion CNC machined case serves as a protective housing for computer and electronic instrument assemblies. Production starts from an aluminium extrusion profile that already carries its wall thickness, side rails and screw bosses in the die, so the finished enclosure keeps a uniform wall section along its whole length. The extruded body is cut to size and moved to CNC machining, where the end faces are milled square, cable entries and connector openings are cut, and threaded mounting points are added. The result is a rigid, lightweight metal case that holds sensitive electronics in place and protects them during assembly and everyday use.

How the Extruded Case Is Made

The process begins with the extrusion die. Aluminium billet is heated and pushed through the die to form the outer shell profile, complete with guide rails, internal ribs and mounting channels. The profile is then cut to the required length and moved to CNC machining centres, where the ends are faced, cut-outs for connectors and displays are milled, and holes are drilled and tapped for the front and rear panels. Finally the case is deburred, cleaned and given the agreed surface treatment.
