These poles are the lightweight frame inside a grow tent and the supporting structure of a camping or hiking shelter. They are made from aluminium tube cut, drilled and fitted to the customer drawing, then assembled into collapsible sets so the whole frame packs into a bag and goes up again without tools.

Where These Poles Are Used

A grow tent needs a frame that carries the load of lights, filters and fans without bowing, and that holds its shape through long runs at steady warmth and humidity. A camping or hiking pole has to survive being packed, carried and rebuilt in the rain. Both duties reward the same properties: light weight, stiffness in the span and joints that do not work loose.

Telescopic Sections and the Frame

The poles are supplied as telescopic sections, each tube sized to slide inside the next, so the frame extends to full height or span and collapses into a short bundle. Section lengths, diameters and wall thickness are set together, because the clearance at each joint decides how easily the pole extends and how much play the finished frame has. The hub or corner connector is matched to the section it takes, so the frame stands square.

Material and Finish

The tube is aluminium alloy, chosen for its strength-to-weight ratio: a light frame is one a single person can move, and one that does not corrode when stored damp. The surface is anodized or left mill finish according to the specification. Anodizing hardens the outside of the metal and gives it colour, and it is the usual choice where the pole is handled often or the frame stays visible.

End Fittings and Assembly

Pole ends are cut square, deburred and fitted with caps, ferrules, thread, hooks or elastic cord depending on how the frame goes together. Where a shock cord runs through the bore, the sections pull themselves into order as the pole is released, keeping a multi-section set together in the bag. Where fittings are used instead, the joints carry the load, so they are matched to the tube wall.

Checks Before Dispatch

Each tube is checked for diameter, wall thickness and straightness, and every drilled hole and cut end is inspected and deburred. Sets are then assembled once to confirm the sections telescope and the frame goes together as drawn before the order is packed.
