Collapsible Welded Bent Aluminum Camping Tent Pole

This collapsible aluminum tent pole is extruded from 6000 or 7000 series alloy, bent and welded into a tubular frame that folds down for transport and opens into a rigid support for tents and tarps. The round section keeps a consistent wall along the full length, so the pole bends evenly at each joint and does not crush when the canopy is tensioned.

Each set is made to the customer drawing. Tube diameter, wall thickness, bend radius, joint type and overall collapsed length are agreed before production, so the finished pole fits the intended tent or tarp sleeve without rework.

Alloy, Wall Thickness and Strength

Aluminum is used because it gives a high strength to weight ratio, which matters when poles must be carried on foot. Both 6000 series and 7000 series alloys are available, in tempers from T3 to T8; the higher strength grades suit long spans and heavy wind loading. Wall thickness ranges from 0.7 mm to 3 mm, and the section is chosen so the pole stays straight under load while remaining light enough for backpacking.

Anodized Finish and Colour

The poles are normally anodized, which hardens the surface and resists corrosion from rain, salt air and repeated handling. Standard colours are natural, silver, golden, bronze, champagne, red and black, with other shades produced to order. The anodic film also reduces the chance of staining the inside of a fabric sleeve.

Fabrication and Quality Control

Extruded tubes are cut, bent, punched and welded, with seams welded or left seamless according to the design. Dimensional tolerance is about plus or minus ten percent on wall thickness, and bend angle and joint position are checked against the drawing on a sample before the run. Material is tested against ASTM, JIS, GB/T and ISO standards as required, and the works is managed to ISO 9001:2015.

Applications

Typical uses include dome and tunnel tent frames, tarp and awning supports, beach umbrellas, camping shelters, gazebo frames and trade show canopies. Buyers usually send a drawing, a sample pole or a fabric sleeve so the framework can be matched exactly.

Ordering and Delivery

Orders start from one hundred pieces, with larger quantities quoted separately. Lead time is generally forty days for the first hundred pieces and thirty one to forty five days for follow up orders, depending on tooling. Customized logo, customized packaging and graphic customization are offered from two hundred sets. Payment can be arranged by letter of credit, documents against acceptance or payment, telegraphic transfer, Western Union, MoneyGram or open account.
