Telescopic Adjustable Aluminum Tent Poles

These poles are made from 6061 aluminum tube and are designed to change length, so the same pole can serve a shelter that is set up at more than one height. The tube is cut, bent and welded to the layout on the drawing, and the sliding sections are matched so the pole stays straight when it is extended.

6061 is used because it is light enough to carry in a pack, strong enough to take repeated assembly and takedown, and easy to drill and thread when end fittings have to be added later.

How the Poles Are Made

Each order starts from the frame drawing or a sample pole. Outside diameter, wall thickness, number of sliding sections, adjustment range and the bend positions are taken from that drawing. After cutting and bending, the poles are welded where a fixed joint is required, the weld area is dressed, and each pole is checked for straightness and for the length reached at both ends of its adjustment range.

Where the Poles Are Used

The main use is camping and sun shelter frames, where poles have to fold down small for transport and then hold the fabric up on site. The same poles are used for tarp shelters, gazebos, market and display stalls, garden shade frames and portable event tents.

Locking and Adjustment

The sliding sections can be held with a spring button that clicks into drilled holes, with a twist lock, or with a simple pin, depending on how the pole will be used. A button lock gives a fixed set of lengths and is quick to set up, while a twist or clamp lock allows any length within the range. Whichever type is chosen, the holes and the locking parts are placed in the same position on every pole of an order, so poles from the same batch can be swapped without changing the setting. Poles are normally supplied in sets that match the frame, with each pole marked for its position.

Buying Notes

Most buyers ask for one or two sample poles first to check the adjustment feel and the bend angles before a full order, and small trial runs can be arranged. Locking method, adjustment range and finish are agreed before production so the delivered poles fit the frame the customer already has.
