Customized Thick Wall Aluminum Tubes and Round Aluminium Pipes

These customized thick wall aluminum tubes and round aluminium pipes are extruded or drawn round sections supplied to order, so the outside diameter, wall thickness and length can be set to match a drawing or sample. The range covers light decorative tubes through to heavier walled pipes that carry structural loads, and the round section bends, threads and joins easily in a fabrication shop.

The tubes are made from aluminium alloys in the 6063, 6061, 7075 and 2024 grades, drawn from the 1000 to 7000 series, with an aluminium content of at least 98.8%. The alloy and temper are chosen to suit the job: 6063 and 6061 are the everyday extrusion alloys for frames, rails and decorative work, while 7075 and 2024 are selected where higher strength is needed. Tempers from T3 to T8 are available and hardness typically falls between 58 and 120.

Size is built around a 7mm to 200mm outside diameter with wall thicknesses from 0.3mm to 5.0mm, and lengths are produced to the customer requirement rather than cut from a fixed stock length. A tolerance of about 10% applies to the section, and the round shape keeps the tube concentric for fittings, ferrules and end caps. Non-standard diameters and heavier walls are quoted from the drawing.

Surface finish can be left as mill finish or upgraded to anodized or powder coated. Anodizing builds a hard oxide layer into the surface and can be coloured in natural, silver, black, blue and gold, which suits visible frames and decorative parts. Powder coating gives an even coloured skin over the metal, and both finishes help the tube resist scuffing and the corrosion that follows damp or outdoor storage.

Secondary processing covers cutting, punching, bending, welding and decoiling, so the tube can arrive as a cut length or as a partly finished component. Customized logo, packaging and graphic options are available so a buyer can receive the pipes banded, boxed or labelled for their own stock.

Typical applications include industrial frames and rails, machine guarding, structural supports, window and door profiles, display and furniture frames, and general decoration where a clean metal finish is wanted. Each batch is checked for outside diameter, wall thickness, straightness and surface condition before dispatch, and the finished tube is confirmed against the agreed drawing or sample.
