These poles are made from aluminum alloy tube that is cut to length, bent to the angle shown on the drawing and welded where the frame needs a permanent joint. The result is a light frame that can be folded and opened again and again without losing its shape, which is what a collapsible grow tent needs.

Aluminum is used because it keeps the frame light enough to move by hand while still holding the tent fabric steady. Because the poles are welded and not only push-fitted, corners and junctions stay tight through repeated folding, and the frame does not need extra bracing at the bends.

How the Poles Are Produced

Each order starts from the frame drawing. Tube outside diameter, wall thickness, bend radius, straight length and the number of sections are taken from that drawing, and the bend positions are marked before forming so the assembled frame matches the drawing the first time. After bending, the pieces are welded, the weld area is dressed, and the poles are checked for straightness, angle and length.

Why Welded Bends Hold Their Shape

A bent tube that is only clamped or bolted at the corner tends to open slightly each time the frame is used, and over many folding cycles the corner becomes loose. Welding locks the bend angle, so the frame keeps the same dimensions even after a long season of use. Where a frame must still fold, the weld is placed only at the fixed corners and the folding joints are left free, so the frame opens and closes as designed.

Applications

The main use is the frame of a collapsible grow tent, where the bent and welded poles form the top, corners and base of the tent frame. The same construction is used for other foldable structures such as garden canopies, portable car shelters, market stalls, display frames and event tents, wherever a frame has to travel folded and stand up quickly on site.
