Product Overview

This two-section aluminum telescopic pole sets its length with a flip clamp and holds it with a spring button lock, so a tent or awning pole can be extended and locked without tools. The pole packs down to roughly half its working length, which keeps transport and storage simple. Both the clamp and the button can be replaced if they wear, which extends the service life of the pole and keeps the frame in use.

Two Section Design

The pole is built from two aluminum tube sections, one sliding inside the other. The outer section guides and supports the inner section along the overlap, and the overlap length is set so the pole stays stiff at full extension. Diameters and wall thickness of both sections are chosen together so the joint has minimal play while the pole stays light to handle and carry.

Flip Clamp and Spring Button Lock

The flip clamp grips the inner section when its lever is pressed down, giving a continuously adjustable length that can be changed in seconds. The spring button lock gives a positive stop: the button pops into a drilled hole in the inner section and keeps the pole from sliding or collapsing under load. The two mechanisms work together, one for fine adjustment and one for a solid, repeatable lock position.

Aluminum Tube Construction

Both sections are formed in aluminum alloy by extrusion or drawing so the wall thickness is uniform along the length. The alloy and temper are selected for the stiffness the pole needs, and the surface is anodized or powder coated for outdoor use. Cut ends are deburred and any threaded parts are checked so the pole assembles and extends smoothly.

Assembly and Adjustment

Sections are assembled with the clamp and button fitted at the factory, or supplied as a kit for the buyer to put together. To set the pole, extend the inner section, press the button into the nearest hole, then close the flip clamp to remove any remaining play. Button hole positions are drilled at fixed intervals so the pole returns to the same length each time.
