Product Overview

This aluminum telescopic extension tube is made for tent poles and portable frames that need a short packed length and quick, tool-free setup. Sections slide inside one another so the pole can be set to the working length on site and locked in position.

Material and Construction

The tube is produced in aluminum alloy and formed by extrusion or drawing so wall thickness stays consistent along the length. Alloy and temper are chosen to match the load, from light sections for small shelters to heavier walls for larger spans. Diameters and wall thickness are set for each section so one stage nests inside the next with minimal play.

How the Telescopic Joint Works

One section slides out of another until the working length is reached, then the joint is secured by a spring button that pops into a drilled hole, by an external twist clamp, or by a threaded connection. Hole positions are drilled at fixed intervals so the pole can be set to repeatable lengths, and joint walls resist bending and denting.

Fabrication and Assembly

Options cover cutting to length, drilling of locking holes, threading, slot milling, and assembly of multi-section poles. Holes are placed from a common datum so the sections line up when extended. End caps, ferrules, buttons, and clamps can be fitted where required.

Inspection

Tubes are checked for length, diameter, wall thickness, straightness, and surface condition. Coated parts are inspected for color consistency and for defects such as scratches and bare spots. Assembled poles are extended and retracted to confirm that sections slide freely and lock firmly.
