Wood Grain Aluminum Extrusion Profile for Cabinet Doors and Window Frames
Product Overview
This wood grain aluminum extrusion profile combines a light aluminium substrate with a wood-look surface finish, giving the warmth of timber without the weight and moisture sensitivity of solid wood. The profile is produced by extruding aluminium into the required cross section and then applying a wood grain coating or transfer film, so the surface shows a repeatable grain pattern along the length of the profile.
Construction and Finish
The core is extruded aluminium, which keeps the profile straight, stable and light while resisting the swelling, warping and insect damage that affect natural timber in damp or changing conditions. The wood grain finish is applied to the visible faces and can be matched across a batch, so frames assembled from several lengths keep a consistent grain direction and colour. Wall thickness and section geometry stay constant from batch to batch, which helps when frames are produced in long runs.
Wood Grain Finish and Appearance
Wood grain finishes for aluminium are produced with sublimation transfer printing, powder coating or laminated film. Sublimation gives a durable, heat-cured grain that stands up to handling and cleaning, while laminated film offers a wider choice of realistic timber patterns. Because the finish is decorative rather than structural, the underlying aluminium keeps its strength, corrosion resistance and dimensional stability whatever wood tone is chosen. Surface texture is available from light oak to darker walnut shades and should be confirmed against a sample before production.

Fabrication
The profile can be cut, drilled, milled and assembled with standard aluminium tooling. Mitred corners are usually joined with corner connectors or brackets, and cut edges should be touched up because the wood grain finish does not run through the full section. Fasteners and fixings should suit aluminium to avoid galvanic corrosion where a frame is used outdoors.
