Product Overview
This extruded cold drawn round aluminium tube is produced from selected aluminium alloy billet through a combined hot extrusion and cold drawing process. Cold drawing refines the wall, tightens the dimensional tolerance and improves the surface finish, giving a straight and uniform round profile that is easy to fabricate and assemble. The round section can be cut, bent, threaded, welded and machined, so it adapts to a wide range of structural and functional parts.
Manufacturing Process
Production begins with the selection of aluminium billet, which is heated and pushed through a die to form the extruded tube. The extruded section is then cold drawn through a die and over a mandrel to reduce wall thickness and improve concentricity. After drawing, the tube is straightened, cut to length and finished. Because each step is carefully controlled, the finished tube shows consistent wall thickness, a clean inner bore and a smooth outer surface.
Material and Surface Properties
Aluminium is naturally lightweight and offers a favourable strength to weight ratio. The cold drawn surface can be supplied with an anti-corrosion treatment to improve resistance to moisture and everyday atmospheric exposure.
