Aluminum alloy tarp poles with spring button locks are made to hold tarps, canopies, awnings and camping tent fly sheets in place outdoors. Each pole is built from aluminum alloy tubing, a material chosen for its low weight relative to its strength, and is held at the selected length by a spring button lock that clicks into a drilled hole in the tube.
The spring button lock works as a push-button mechanism. An internal spring presses a rounded button outward through a hole in the outer tube, and the button seats into a matching hole in the inner tube. To change the length, the user presses the button inward, slides the inner tube to the next hole, and releases the button so it locks again. This style of locking does not rely on twisting clamps or loose pins, so the setting stays fixed once it is engaged.
Poles can be supplied in fixed-length, telescopic or folding form. Straight poles are used as vertical or ridge supports, while folding poles break into shorter sections joined by an elastic cord so the whole pole folds into a compact bundle for transport and storage. End fittings may include flat caps, pointed tips, threaded studs or hook ends, depending on whether the pole has to pass through a tarp eyelet, sit inside a sleeve or hook onto a loop.
Common applications include camping tents, tarp shelters, canopy frames, gazebo legs, awning supports, beach shade structures and garden netting frames. Because the poles are light and pack down small, they suit outdoor, travel and event equipment where the shelter has to be carried by hand or packed into a vehicle.
Aluminum alloy keeps its appearance and resists rust under normal outdoor use, and a surface finish can be applied to give a uniform look and extra wear protection. Round tubing is the most common profile, and the wall thickness and diameter are chosen together to balance stiffness against weight for the load the pole is expected to carry.
Orders can be discussed around tube diameter, wall thickness, overall length, number of sections, button hole spacing, end fitting and surface finish, so that the finished pole matches the eyelet spacing, height and expected load of the shelter it supports.
When requesting a quotation, please share the required pole length, tube diameter, wall thickness and end fitting, and confirm whether a straight, telescopic or folding pole is needed for your tarp, tent or canopy application.
