Aluminium Tube

This aluminium tube is an extruded, hollow aluminium profile supplied in straight lengths or coils for industrial, decorative and structural use. It is produced from pure aluminium or aluminium alloy, so the wall thickness and cross section stay uniform along the length, and the tube can be cut, bent, drilled or welded to suit different assemblies.

The tube is available across the 1000, 2000, 3000, 5000, 6000 and 7000 series, in round, oval and square sections, with outer diameters from 3 mm to 250 mm, wall thickness from 0.3 mm to 50 mm and lengths from 10 mm up to 6000 mm. Tolerances are held to about 1%, and the temper range covers T3 to T8 with a hardness of roughly 160-205 Rm/Mpa.

Surface and Finish

The tube can be supplied in mill finish, anodized, polished, powder coated or sand blasted form. Standard colours include natural silver, bronze, champagne, black and golden, and other colours can be matched to the order. The chosen finish gives the surface a clean, even appearance and helps it resist everyday scratching and weathering in both indoor and outdoor service.

Applications

Aluminium tube is widely used in automobiles, ships, aerospace and aviation, electrical appliances, agriculture, electromechanical equipment and household appliances. It also serves as aluminium profile for windows, doors, decoration, construction and curtain walls, and as a general support or structural tube in industrial and decorative projects.

Ordering and Packing

Orders are usually placed by tonnage, with a minimum of 1 ton. A 20-foot container normally holds about 12 tons and a 40-foot container about 24 tons. The tube is packed with protective film plus plastic film, or EPE plus kraft paper, to protect the surface during transport. Delivery time is about 22 to 30 days.
