6061 aluminum tubing and pipe is an extruded aluminium product made from the 6061 alloy system, a grade that brings together aluminum, magnesium and silicon. It is a familiar material in workshops and industrial supply because it can be cut, drilled, bent and joined with standard metalworking tools. Tube and pipe in this grade are used wherever a light metal section is needed to carry loads, route fluid or air, or form a clean structural frame.

Alloy Designation and Temper

The 6061 mark identifies the alloy composition rather than a finished condition. Tubing and pipe in this grade are produced in several tempers so the material can be matched to the way it will be formed and used. Shape, Dimensions and Finish

Fabrication and Processing

Why Aluminum
