Heavy Duty Aluminium Aluminum Tent Pole

This aluminium tent pole is a round tube supplied for outdoor tent frames. It is made from aluminium alloy and is intended as a pole component for tents rather than as a complete tent.

Material and alloy. The material is aluminium alloy, with grades 6063, 7001 and 7075 available, and the product is classified as an alloy rather than a pure metal. The aluminium content is stated as 97 percent minimum. Aluminium alloy is used for this kind of part because it is light to carry and easy to handle on site, which helps keep the packed weight of a camping or outdoor tent within a comfortable range.

Shape and grade. The section is round. Round tubing is a practical shape for a tent pole because it fits the sleeves and fittings that tents normally use, it stores easily, and it can be led along the run of the tent in a simple and even way. The grade is 7000 series and the temper range is T3 to T8.

Wall thickness, length and tolerance. Wall thickness is available from 0.8 mm to 5.0 mm, and length is supplied from 3 to 6 metres. A wall thickness tolerance of plus or minus 10 percent applies to the finished tube, and hardness is stated as 8 to 12 HW. These values describe the tube itself and help buyers match the pole to the loading expected from a tent frame.

Surface treatment. Surfaces can be supplied mill finished, anodized, powder coated, brushed, polished or sand blasted, and colour is made to order. Anodizing builds up an oxide layer on the aluminium surface, which gives the pole a more durable finish and helps it resist the effects of damp air and ordinary outdoor conditions.

Processing services. Available operations include bending, decoiling, welding, punching, cutting, CNC milling, drilling and threading, and the finish can be produced by cutting, bending, drilling and threading. These operations allow the tube to be formed into shapes and fittings a tent frame requires, and they let a buyer order the pole prepared to a specific size. The tube is produced by cold rolling.

Customisation. Customised OEM service is available, and poles can be produced to a buyer specification or sample. Because length, diameter and quantity are confirmed together before production, each of them affects how the pole behaves in service.

Applications. The main application is as an outdoor tent pole, and the material is also used for industrial aluminium profiles. The poles are intended as pole components for tents and outdoor equipment.

Origin and delivery. The place of origin is Jiangsu, China. Delivery time is 31 to 45 days. Lead time is 20 days for orders of 1 to 100 pieces, 30 days for 101 to 500 pieces, 35 days for 501 to 1,000 pieces, and to be negotiated for orders above 1,000 pieces. Shipping is supported by sea freight.
