The profile is formed by pushing heated aluminium billet through a shaped die, so the cross section stays uniform along the full length of the piece.

Material and Construction

Carbide tooling with generous rake angles produces clean cuts, and the material responds well to sawing, milling, drilling, tapping and punching. Thin walls deflect easily, so the section is supported close to the cut. Aluminium is stored away from steel to avoid surface contamination.
