Special shaped aluminium profiles are extruded sections produced to a drawn cross section rather than to a standard round, square or flat form. The section can combine curved faces, closed chambers, slots and asymmetric outlines in one continuous length, so a single profile can carry structure, a fixing groove and a finished face at the same time. Working and Assembly

The profile can be cut with a fine tooth blade and then deburred before assembly so faces meet evenly. Holes are drilled and tapped with standard tooling, and sections are joined with brackets, plates or connectors, or with a slot and stud where the outline allows. Where a closed chamber is used as a duct or conduit, keep the ends open or fit caps so air and cable runs stay clear.

Handling and Storage

Each batch is checked for straightness, surface condition and consistency of the section before it leaves the works. Long lengths are bundled and wrapped for transport, while shorter cuts are packed in cartons with edge protection. Keep the protective film in place until the final fix to reduce handling marks, and store bundles flat and dry so the sections stay straight before assembly.
